Andrew Scott, born on October 21, 1976, is an Irish actor known for his performances on stage and screen. His accolades include two Laurence Olivier Awards, a BAFTA Television Award, and a Silver Bear. He has also received nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards. Scott gained prominence portraying James Moriarty in the BBC series Sherlock from 2010 to 2017, a role that earned him the BAFTA Television Award for Best Supporting Actor. His performance as a priest in the second series of Fleabag in 2019 garnered the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. In film, he has appeared in Pride (2014), Spectre (2015), and 1917 (2019) and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his role in All of Us Strangers (2023).
