Andrew Revkin: podcast appearances and interviews

Andrew C. Revkin is an American science and environmental journalist, author, and educator born in 1956. He has written extensively on topics such as the destruction of the Amazon rainforest, the 2004 Asian tsunami, sustainable development, climate change, and environmental changes around the North Pole. From 2019 to 2023, Revkin directed the Initiative on Communication and Sustainability at The Earth Institute of Columbia University, where he launched a video webcast called Sustain What. This webcast, which later integrated with his online newsletter of the same name, aims to find solutions to complex environmental and societal challenges through dialogue.

Revkin's career includes serving as a senior reporter on climate change at ProPublica until 2017 and working as a reporter for The New York Times from 1995 to 2009. During his tenure at The Times, he created the Dot Earth environmental blog, which initially ran on the newspaper's website and later moved to the Opinion Pages until 2016. He held the position of Senior Fellow for Environmental Understanding at Pace University from 2010 to 2016. In addition to his journalism work, Revkin is a performing songwriter and has frequently accompanied Pete Seeger.
