Andrew Keith Leigh, born on August 3, 1972, is an Australian politician and former academic. He has served as a member of the Australian House of Representatives since 2010, initially representing the seat of Fraser until 2016 and subsequently representing Fenner. Leigh has a background as a lawyer and was a professor of economics at the Australian National University before entering politics. Throughout his parliamentary career, he has held various roles, including a brief tenure as the Parliamentary Secretary to Prime Minister Julia Gillard in 2013. He also served as the Shadow Assistant Treasurer from 2013 to 2019. Currently, Leigh holds the position of Assistant Minister for Productivity, Competition, Charities and Treasury. He is affiliated with the Australian Labor Party but is not a member of any faction within the party.
