Andrea Campbell: podcast appearances and interviews

Andrea Campbell is an American lawyer and politician who has served as the 45th attorney general of Massachusetts since 2023. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served on the Boston City Council from 2016 to 2022, including a term as council president from 2018 to 2020. Campbell ran for mayor of Boston in 2021 but placed third in the nonpartisan primary election. In 2022, she announced her candidacy for the statewide office of attorney general of Massachusetts and became the first Black woman to qualify for ballot access for a statewide office in the state. With a significant victory in the Democratic primary, she secured the party's nomination and went on to win the general election by a large margin. Campbell was sworn into office in January 2023, making her the first Black woman to hold the position of attorney general in Massachusetts and only the second Black person to serve in this role, after Edward Brooke. She is also known for her work as an author of the book Taxation and Resentment: Race, Party, and Class in American Tax Attitudes which explores attitudes toward taxation across different racial, party, and class lines.
