Amber Ruffin: podcast appearances and interviews

Amber Mildred Ruffin, born January 9, 1979, is an American comedian, writer and actress. She has been a writer for the television program Late Night with Seth Meyers since 2014, making her the first Black woman to write for a late-night network talk show in the United States. Ruffin has also hosted her own late-night talk show titled The Amber Ruffin Show on Peacock from 2020 to 2022. In addition to her work in television, she has co-authored two books with her sister Lacey Lamar. Their first book, You'll Never Believe What Happened to Lacey: Crazy Stories about Racism, was a New York Times Best Seller. They published a second book, The World Record Book of Racist Stories, in 2022. Ruffin's career extends into production as well; in 2022, she and her writing partner Jenny Hagel co-founded a production company called Straight to Cards under an overall deal with Universal Television.
