Amanda Nguyen: podcast appearances and interviews

Amanda Ngọc Nguyễn is a Vietnamese-American social entrepreneur and civil rights activist. She is the co-founder of Rise, a non-governmental organization dedicated to implementing a sexual assault survivors' bill of rights. Nguyễn authored the Sexual Assault Survivors' Rights Act, which passed unanimously through the United States Congress. Her advocacy work includes initiating a movement against violence targeting Asian Americans, notably through a viral video calling for increased media coverage in February 2021. Recognized for her contributions, Nguyễn was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2019 and named one of the Time Women of the Year in 2022. She has received multiple awards and was named a Top 100 Global Thinker by Foreign Policy. In March 2025, her memoir titled Saving Five was published and appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list. Nguyễn's journey into space began with her participation in Blue Origin’s 11th spaceflight under the New Shepard program, which launched on April 14, 2025. This mission made her the first woman of Vietnamese heritage to fly into space. During the flight, she conducted scientific experiments, including research related to wound dressing in microgravity.
