Alexis Pauline Gumbs: podcast appearances and interviews

Alexis Pauline Gumbs, born in 1982, is an African-American writer, scholar, poet, activist, and educator based in Durham, North Carolina. Her work concentrates on queer women of color and has been characterized as a form of Black feminist love evangelism. Gumbs identifies herself as a queer Black troublemaker and has contributed to contemporary discussions on Black feminism and ecological issues. Her notable work includes the book entitled Survival is a Promise: The Eternal Life of Audre Lorde. She has also created an experimental triptych comprising Spill, M Archive, and Dub, through which she explores Black feminist theory and the resistance against ecological extraction.
