Akshay Hari Om Bhatia, known professionally as Akshay Kumar, is an Indian actor and film producer who works in Hindi cinema. Born on September 9, 1967, he has appeared in over 150 films over a career spanning more than three decades. Kumar began his acting career in 1991 with the film Saugandh and achieved his first commercial success with the action thriller Khiladi in 1992. This film established him as an action star and led to a series of successful roles in the Khiladi film series and other action movies.
