Ajahn Sucitto: podcast appearances and interviews

Ajahn Sucitto, born on 4 November 1949 in London, is a British-born Theravada Buddhist monk. He was ordained in Thailand in March 1976 and returned to Britain in 1978 to train under Ajahn Sumedho at the Hampstead Buddhist Vihara. He was one of the founding members of Cittaviveka, Chithurst Buddhist Monastery, in West Sussex, established in 1979. In 1981, he was sent to Northumberland to set up a small monastery in Harnham, which later became Aruna Ratanagiri. He also assisted in establishing Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in Hertfordshire in 1984. From 1992 until 2014, Ajahn Sucitto served as the abbot of Cittaviveka. He resigned from this position on 26 October 2014 but has continued to teach thereafter. His work has primarily focused on teaching, writing, and editing. He was also instrumental in developing the protocols and standards associated with the ten-precept training of the nuns in the Siladhara Order.
