Adrienne Maree Brown: podcast appearances and interviews

Adrienne Maree Brown is an American writer, activist, and facilitator born on September 6, 1978. She served as the executive director of the Ruckus Society from 2006 to 2010 and co-founded as well as directed the United States League of Young Voters. Brown's thought has been described as postnationalism, with some also characterizing her views as Black feminism or womanism. She is a supporter of movements such as Black Lives Matter and prison abolition. As a writer, her work is heavily influenced by the science-fiction author Octavia E. Butler. Her first book, Emergent Strategy, was published in 2017, followed by Pleasure Activism: The Politics of Feeling Good in 2019 and We Will Not Cancel Us in 2020. In addition to her writing, Brown runs podcasts and has released a music project. She also works professionally as a doula, engaging in work that supports others through childbirth and related services.
