Adrian Smith: podcast appearances and interviews

Adrian Frederick Smith, born on 27 February 1957, is an English guitarist and singer with a background rooted in rock music. He grew up in London and developed an interest in the genre at the age of 15. His friendship with future Iron Maiden guitarist Dave Murray influenced him to take up the guitar. Smith left school at 16 and initially formed the band Urchin, which he led until 1980. That year, he joined Iron Maiden, replacing Dennis Stratton. After leaving Iron Maiden in 1990 and pursuing a solo project called ASAP, he formed the band The Untouchables, later known as Psycho Motel. Smith paused Psycho Motel in 1997 to join Bruce Dickinson's band, returning to Iron Maiden in 1999, which marked a successful phase for the band. Beyond performing with Iron Maiden, Smith has been involved in various side projects including Primal Rock Rebellion and Smith/Kotzen. Outside of his music career, he is also known for his roles as a film lecturer and writer, and is affiliated with Games Workshop.
