Adam Meyers: podcast appearances and interviews

Adam Meyers was a police captain and lawyer in Canada West in the 19th century. He served as a political figure representing North Northumberland and later Northumberland in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Canada from 1844 to 1851. Meyers was the son of Adam Henry Meyers, a native of Hanover, Germany, and Mary H. Wallbridge. In his legal career, he practiced law in Trenton and maintained a friendship with John A. Macdonald. In addition to his legislative work, Meyers was appointed lieutenant-colonel for the local militia in 1869. His life was marked by a notable incident in August 1853 when he was shot and wounded by Charles Marsh, who was sentenced to 14 years in the provincial penitentiary for the assault. Meyers also sought election unsuccessfully for the Northumberland seat in 1861.
