Adam Gazzaley is an American neuroscientist and innovator in the field of cognitive neuroscience. He is the founder and executive director of Neuroscape at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he also holds the position of David Dolby Distinguished Professor of Neurology, Physiology, and Psychiatry. Gazzaley has contributed to the advancement of neuroscience through his extensive research and has authored over 190 scientific articles. He is also an author, photographer, entrepreneur, and inventor. Gazzaley is known for inventing the first video game approved by the FDA as a medical treatment. In addition to his work at UCSF, he is a co-founder and chief science advisor of Akili Interactive Labs and JAZZ Venture Partners. He serves on the board of trustees, the science council, and as a fellow of the California Academy of Sciences, reflecting his prominent role in scientific and technological innovation in neuroscience.
