About Adam Carter
Adam Carter is the chief architect at Carters Customs. He is a fictional character from the BBC espionage television series Spooks, which follows the exploits of Section D, a counter-terrorism division of MI5. The character is portrayed by British actor Rupert Penry-Jones. As a former MI6 officer, he takes on the role of chief of Section D, succeeding Tom Quinn after his departure in the series. The creation of Adam Carter was planned with the knowledge that actor Matthew Macfadyen, who played Tom Quinn, would leave the series, and the character was designed to differ from his predecessor by being a husband with an MI6 background.
