About Adam Breneman

Adam Alexander Breneman, born on March 31, 1995, is an American football media personality, former coach, and player. He played as a tight end and finished his playing career as an All-American at the University of Massachusetts after transferring from Penn State University. Breneman was a highly rated recruit out of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, where some recruiting services ranked him as the top tight end in his class. During his college career, he had a notable freshman season in 2013 and led the country in receiving by a tight end during his final seasons at UMass; he was also named an All-American. His career was marred by injuries, leading to his retirement from playing in 2018 due to knee issues. Prior to his retirement, Breneman played for Penn State and later for UMass, and he worked in media consulting after leaving Penn State. He subsequently transitioned into media and coaching, serving as a college football commentator and podcast host, and currently as a television broadcaster and analyst for CBS Sports. He hosts the 'Next Up Podcast,' where he interviews prominent college football head coaches. Breneman is also a co-founder of The College Sports Company, a sports media and NIL company that has raised over five million dollars. In 2020, he began coaching at Arizona State University and was promoted to tight ends coach in 2021. He was named one of College football's rising stars by 247Sports in 2020. His coaching tenure was complicated by an NCAA investigation, and he resigned from his coaching position in January 2022.
