Abby Martin: podcast appearances and interviews

Abby Martin, born on September 6, 1984, is an American journalist, television presenter, and activist. She is a co-founder of the citizen journalism website Media Roots and serves on the board of directors for the Media Freedom Foundation, which manages Project Censored. Martin appeared in the documentary film Project Censored The Movie: Ending the Reign of Junk Food News in 2013 and co-directed 99%: The Occupy Wall Street Collaborative Film the same year. She hosted the program Breaking the Set on RT America from 2012 to 2015, during which she gained attention for condemning the Russian annexation of Crimea on-air. In 2015, she launched The Empire Files, an investigative documentary and interview series on Telesur that was later released as a web series. In 2019, she released the documentary film The Empire Files: Gaza Fights for Freedom.
