What does Upskill NWA do?

Upskill NWA is a workforce development program focused on connecting individuals in Northwest Arkansas to higher-paying careers in healthcare. Launched in early 2022, the program aims to empower non-traditional, working adults who are underemployed, including working parents and single mothers. The program offers free education and comprehensive support to help participants overcome barriers to career advancement. Services include tuition funding, coverage for books and fees, assistance with licensing exam costs, and support for childcare and transportation. Each participant is paired with a Career Navigator for mentoring and coaching, and the program also provides life skills development through workshops on financial literacy and time management.
