Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring girls and youth ages 6-18 to be strong, smart, and bold. It offers after-school programs, mentoring, and advocacy in Portland, Seattle, and Southwest Washington. With a history of over 25 years in Portland and 55 years in Seattle, the organization has served more than 18,000 youth, focusing on holistic development in supportive and inclusive environments. The mission of Girls Inc. PNW is to equip girls with the skills and confidence needed for healthy, educated, and economically independent futures. Its programs include Girls Groups, which foster friendships and life skills, and other initiatives that address challenges related to physical activity, college readiness, and leadership. The organization collaborates with schools and local businesses to provide mentorship, particularly for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, low-income, and first-generation youth. Girls Inc. PNW creates safe spaces for self-expression and personal growth, contributing to positive outcomes for its participants.
