Powerscourt Distillery is an Irish whiskey producer located on the historic Powerscourt Estate in Enniskerry, County Wicklow. The distillery began whiskey production in 2018, reviving a tradition in the region after over a century. Founded by Gerry Ginty and Ashley Gardiner, it operates from a renovated Mill House dating back to the 1730s, utilizing local resources like water from Powerscourt Waterfall and golden barley. The distillery produces Fercullen Irish Whiskey, which includes the Fercullen Single Malt, released in 2023. It features a classic pot still setup for distillation and has the capacity to produce over 3 million bottles annually. Powerscourt Distillery also serves as a whiskey tourism destination, offering tours that explore the history and craftsmanship of Irish whiskey, along with tasting rooms, a gift shop, and a café.
