What does PharmaLedger do?

PharmaLedger Association (PLA) is a not-for-profit organization based in Switzerland, established in March 2022. It evolved from the EU-funded PharmaLedger project and focuses on creating a Digital Trust Ecosystem in Healthcare using blockchain technology. PLA serves as a governance body for interoperable digital solutions in healthcare, promoting collaboration among pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, universities, patient organizations, technology firms, research centers, and NGOs. PLA's mission is to enhance trust and security in the pharmaceutical pipeline, empower patients with data ownership, and improve supply chain transparency. Its flagship product, ePI by PharmaLedger, provides a digital platform for accessing product information. Other key offerings include decentralized trials for patient-owned data and blockchain solutions for real-time supply chain traceability. PLA supports integrations with various health systems and promotes a culture of collaboration to drive innovation in healthcare. Membership is open to manufacturers and external parties for network access and solution deployment.
