What does New Growth do?

New Growth Innovation Network (NGIN) is a national nonprofit organization established in 2018 by economic development leaders. Its mission is to promote inclusive economic growth, ensuring that communities historically excluded from wealth creation, such as Black, Latino, Indigenous, and low-income groups, can lead and benefit from opportunities in the knowledge economy. NGIN serves as a hub for learning and innovation, bridging the gap between equity and growth practices. It provides insights, innovations, and localized support through various initiatives, including Communities of Practice, Insight Briefs, and the LEAP program, which offers site visits to cities exemplifying inclusive growth. The organization also produces resources like a Communication Resource Guide for Inclusive Economic Development and a bi-weekly newsletter to share tools and collaboration opportunities. NGIN collaborates with partners such as the Ford Foundation and Prudential Financial to enhance its impact across U.S. cities and regions.
