Moody Gardens® is a public, non-profit educational destination and major tourist attraction located in Galveston, Texas. Established in 1986 by The Moody Foundation, it focuses on rehabilitation, conservation, recreation, research, and entertainment, welcoming approximately two million visitors each year. Originally a therapeutic horse barn, Moody Gardens has grown into a premier leisure and education facility featuring a variety of attractions. The site is known for its three iconic pyramid attractions: the Rainforest Pyramid, which showcases thousands of exotic plants and animals; the Aquarium Pyramid, one of the largest aquariums in the world; and the Discovery Pyramid, which features science and NASA-themed exhibits. Additional offerings include a seasonal water park, a golf course, a hotel and spa, and a convention center with extensive event space. Moody Gardens also hosts seasonal events and educational programs, emphasizing nature-based education and community engagement.
