What does Miracle Messages do?

Miracle Messages is an award-winning nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing homelessness by rebuilding social support systems. Founded by Kevin F. Adler, the organization was inspired by his uncle, who faced homelessness for many years. Miracle Messages operates on the belief that no one should experience homelessness alone. The organization focuses on combating "relational poverty," which affects many individuals experiencing homelessness by leading to isolation and stigma. Miracle Messages offers three main services: Family Reunification Services to reconnect individuals with their loved ones, the Miracle Friends program that pairs volunteers with those experiencing homelessness for regular phone calls and texts, and Miracle Money, which provides direct cash transfers to participants. Miracle Messages has made a significant impact, reuniting over 1,000 individuals with their families, facilitating more than 277,000 conversation minutes between volunteers and unhoused neighbors, and distributing over $1.1 million through its financial assistance programs.
