What does JETAA USA do?

JET Alumni Association of the United States of America (JETAA USA) is a volunteer-led network that connects former participants of the JET Program across 19 chapters in the U.S. The organization promotes cultural exchange between Japan and the United States and is part of a global community of JET alumni associations. Governed by a Board of Advisors and a Chapter Council, JETAA USA operates under established bylaws and is entirely managed by volunteers who are former JET participants. The mission of JETAA USA is to support its alumni chapters and individual members, enhancing the U.S.-Japan relationship. The organization offers various services, including information and support for alumni, community and cultural events, networking opportunities, predeparture orientations for new JET participants, and career forums. With a membership of around 40,000 American alumni, JETAA USA serves as a platform for friendship and collaboration among those who share similar experiences. Jessyca Livingston currently leads the organization as executive director.
