In Place of War is a global non-profit organization that leverages artistic creativity to foster positive social change in areas affected by conflict, climate change, and systemic injustice. Established in 2004 at the University of Manchester, it has grown into a significant international entity, collaborating with 130 creative organizations across 30 countries. In Place of War operates through three main pillars: the creation of cultural spaces, education and entrepreneurship, and artistic collaboration. The organization has made a notable impact by training over 600 participants, mobilizing more than 1,000 artists, and distributing essential creative resources to grassroots organizations.
