What does Greater Cleveland RTA do?

The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) is the main public transportation agency serving Cleveland, Ohio, and surrounding areas in Cuyahoga County. Established in 1974, GCRTA is the largest public transit agency in Ohio and the only one in the state that offers rail service. It operates a multimodal transportation system that includes bus, rapid transit, bus rapid transit, paratransit, and vanpool services, connecting approximately 1.2 million residents across numerous communities. GCRTA's fleet consists of over 311 buses and trains, serving more than 3,000 stops. The agency's rail network, known as "The Rapid," includes three lines: the Red Line, Blue Line, and Green Line.
