Grays Harbor College is a public community and technical college located in Aberdeen, Washington. Established in 1930, it began as a private institution before transitioning to public control in 1945. The college is situated on a 120-acre campus with views of the Pacific Ocean and offers a variety of associate degrees and certificates in fields such as Hospitality & Eco-Tourism, Forest Resource Management, Human Services, and Commercial Driver's License training. It also participates in the "Running Start" program, allowing high school students to earn college credits. In addition to its main campus, Grays Harbor College operates learning centers in Raymond, Ilwaco, North Aberdeen, and Southside Aberdeen. The college is active in athletics, competing in the Northwest Athletic Conference under the team name the Chokers, with teams in various sports for both men and women. The Grays Harbor College Foundation supports student success and has been enhancing the academic environment for over 60 years. Notable alumni include John Madden, Brian Blake, and Allan Mustard.
