First Place AZ is a nonprofit organization focused on providing supportive housing and community integration for adults with autism and other neurodiversities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization aims to foster a sustainable community where individuals can live with pride, purpose, and independence. The flagship facility, First Place–Phoenix, features 55 supportive housing units designed to promote choice and independence. Residents benefit from 24/7 support and mentorship opportunities. The First Place Transition Academy offers a two-year residential program that includes the Learn4Independence® curriculum, covering essential life skills. Additionally, the First Place Global Leadership Institute provides education and training for service providers and professionals in the field. The organization also offers wellness coaching, meal preparation, and benefits counseling to enhance the quality of life for its residents. First Place AZ serves nearly 200 individuals since its inception, with a commitment to creating accessible housing and independent living options for people with autism and other neurodiversities.
