City to Sea was a UK-based environmental charity and Community Interest Company founded in Bristol in 2015. The organization focused on combating plastic pollution by promoting reuse and refill solutions instead of single-use plastics. It worked with communities, businesses, and activists to provide practical solutions to plastic waste, emphasizing a shift towards a circular reuse economy. One of its key initiatives was the Refill Campaign and App, launched in 2016, which mapped refill stations worldwide and encouraged free water refills to reduce single-use bottle consumption. City to Sea also organized events like World Refill Day and ran campaigns addressing plastic use in sanitary products and cotton buds. The organization aimed to raise awareness and inspire local action while advocating for legislative changes to reduce plastic waste. Despite its achievements, City to Sea ceased operations in late 2025 due to financial challenges.
