The African American Alliance of CDFI CEOs is a membership-driven organization established in 2018. It supports Black CEOs of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) across the nation, focusing on enhancing their operations and social impact. The Alliance aims to address barriers to economic development and promote financial equity in Black communities. The organization strengthens Black-led CDFIs by providing capacity building, technical assistance, and advocacy. It offers training, webinars, and resources to help members improve their services. The Alliance also conducts research on investment disparities and advocates for equitable policies that support community development and Black business growth. With 104 member CDFIs, the Alliance plays a crucial role in closing the racial wealth gap by facilitating access to capital and services for underserved communities.
