About this podcast

In the 1970s, Rick Wakeman and Griff Rhys Jones changed everything. Rick made keyboards as sexy as guitars whilst Griff made comedy alternative. Now, these 70s pioneers are actually in their 70s. They’ve experienced a lifetime of changes – so many changes in fact that they’ve now worked out that the 1970s wasn’t ‘the decade that taste forgot’. Instead it was the beginning of innovation, freedom of expression and extraordinary trousers. In their new weekly podcast, Rick and Griff bring us history as you’ve never heard it before. From religion…(would Noah have built the ark had the concept of the Yellow Weather Warning been invented?) to fashion…(what was the fantastic sartorial journey that took us from grey flannel slacks to split-kneed loon pants??) They’ll also answer your burning questions, e-mail Question@RickandGriff.co.uk Celebrate the last 50 years of history with Rick & Griff, available on all podcast platforms. Hosted on Acast.
