About this podcast

The Safety First, Success Always initiative was launched in August 2024 by Florida's Seventh Circuit State Attorney's Office in partnership with Flagler Schools, Putnam County School District, St. Johns County School District, and Volusia County Schools to better address substance use and violence among youth circuitwide. We wanted to start a platform for this initiative that was by students, for students, which is how Real Talk: Safety & Success was born! For this new awareness pillar project, we are taking our podcast equipment on the road to mic up students from all four school districts. This platform will allow hosts and guests to have open conversations about important issues impacting their peers, schools, and communities.
