We present a fearless seeing into the metaphysical and material nature of how spiritual practice, passed down traditions and belief shapes the individual, community and therefore the culture at large. We also like to laugh at everything, including ourselves, with little patience for faff and spiritual commerce. The world is saturated with spiritual paths, syncretic ancient lineages, hooked in eastern wisdoms, shamanic practices, occult lore and native mythologies. We are offered truth, meaning, healing, a way to expand consciousness, the secrets of transmuting our dirt into gold and a way to meet spirit. The lure of the mystic and rigorously trained initiate haul us out of the mundane to unseen, yet tangible magic. Or does it? We look at the books. And with those books the teacher. And with that teacher the offerings of workshops, trainings and the invitation to step into your power. Which you will, of course, pay for (and not just financially). So what happens when you pick up the rock and see the hidden bodies crawling underneath in the dark?
