These stories cover the XIX century of Spain from the Independence War, which started the end of Napoleon empire, to the Carlistas civil wars, the political changes and how the people lived thorugh them. Although the more entertaining pieces are at the first half of the book, you will find a great picture of the tumultuous XIX century in Spain.Other books of the same author at Librivox are "El Sombrero de Tres Picos" and "El Capitan Veneno".
