Taylor Monét Parks, known professionally as Tayla Parx, is an American singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, and actress born in Dallas, Texas. She began her artistic journey with singing, dance, and classical piano lessons during childhood and wrote her first songs at an early age. At nine years old, she enrolled at the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, where she was encouraged to pursue acting. Her family moved to Los Angeles in 2005, and she was cast in her first television show in 2006. In 2007, she appeared as Little Inez Stubbs in the film Hairspray.

Parx was signed to Warner Chappell Music at age 19, marking the start of her career as a songwriter. She achieved notable success with songs such as Fifth Harmony's 'Boss' and co-wrote hits that appeared simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2018, including Khalid and Normani's 'Love Lies,' Ariana Grande's 'Thank U, Next,' and Panic! at the Disco's 'High Hopes.' Her songwriting contributions have exceeded 16 billion streams on Spotify and cover genres like pop, hip hop, R&B, K-pop, country, and Latin charts. In 2021, she became the fourth Black woman to write a number one country song on the genre's airplay charts with Dan + Shay's 'Glad You Exist.'

As a solo artist, Parx has released four albums, an EP, and a mixtape, starting with her debut mixtape TaylaMade in 2017. Her discography includes We Need to Talk (2019), Coping Mechanisms (2020), and Many Moons, Many Suns (2024), along with the 2020 covers collection A Blue State. She is also an entrepreneur, founding TaylaMade, Inc, which oversees various ventures including TaylaParx Publishing, management company 3020 Management, lifestyle brand Trailer Parx, creative collective Parx Studios, and independent record label TaylaMade Records.
