Harlan Cohen: podcast appearances and interviews

Harlan Cohen was an American volleyball coach who led both the United States men's and women's national teams during the mid-1960s. As a player, Cohen competed as part of Team USA at the 1965 Maccabiah Games in Israel, alongside notable players such as Gene Selznick. His coaching career included leading the men's national team in 1966, guiding the women's team to a gold medal at the 1967 Pan American Games, and securing a silver medal at the 1967 World Championships in Tokyo. Cohen served as the head coach of the USA women's team during the 1968 Summer Olympics held in Mexico City. At the collegiate level, he coached at Santa Monica College from 1961 to 1972, working alongside Burt DeGroot, and their teams secured seven USA Volleyball college championships. He later became the head coach at Pepperdine University from 1975 to 1976, where his team won the USVBA championship in 1975. Cohen's contributions to volleyball include successful coaching at both national and collegiate levels, marking him as a significant figure in the sport's history.
