Anthony John Horowitz is an English novelist and screenwriter known for his work in mystery and suspense. His writing encompasses both children's and adult literature, with notable series including the Alex Rider series featuring a teenage spy working for MI6, The Power of Five series, and The Diamond Brothers series. For adult readers, Horowitz has authored plays such as Mindgame and several novels, including two Sherlock Holmes titles, The House of Silk and Moriarty. He has also written a series of novels featuring his own detectives Atticus Pünd and Susan Ryeland, including Magpie Murders and its sequels. Additionally, Horowitz has authored a series of novels where he fictionalizes himself as a companion to the private investigator Daniel Hawthorne, with titles like The Word Is Murder and The Sentence Is Death.
