SEILA is a professional trade union representing industrial packaging and associated logistics companies in France. Established in 1951, it merged with the Syndicat National des Emballeurs in 1995 and serves as the sole representative structure for the profession. SEILA includes 130 member companies, which range from small family-run businesses to larger groups with over 600 employees, collectively representing about 80% of the industrial packaging sector. The organization operates with a structured governance framework, including a Board of Directors and specialized commissions. SEILA's mission includes providing "SEILA-labeled" training programs for accredited packagers and box makers, focusing on technical specifications and industry best practices. It also manages quality certification through its SEI and SEILA marks, ensuring adherence to high standards in packaging and logistics.
