Shaul Magid: podcast appearances and interviews

Shaul Magid is a scholar and religious leader specializing in Jewish studies. He currently serves as Professor of Modern Judaism in Residence at Harvard Divinity School and is affiliated with the Fire Island Synagogue. Magid has also been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow in Jewish Studies at Dartmouth College. His academic career includes a tenure at Indiana University from 2004 to 2018, where he was a professor of religious studies and held the Jay and Jeannie Schottenstein Chair of Jewish Studies in Modern Judaism. During this time, he was also a senior research fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute. Prior to his appointment at Indiana University, Magid was a professor of Jewish philosophy at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America from 1996 to 2004, where he also chaired the Department of Jewish Philosophy between 2000 and 2004. His work encompasses various aspects of Jewish thought and modern Jewish studies, contributing to academic and religious communities through his scholarship and leadership.
