About Mark Beretta
Major Mark Beretta was born on 16 June 1966 and is an Australian journalist known primarily as a sports presenter on the Seven Network program Sunrise. He began his role on Seven Early News sport in July 2008, presenting alongside Natalie Barr at 5:30 am before hosting Sunrise. Beretta has also co-hosted Rexona Australia's Greatest Athlete, initially with Tom Williams in 2010 and later with Wendell Sailor in 2011. In addition to his broadcasting career, he has served as an officer in the Australian Army Reserve in public relations since 2019. Outside of his media work, Beretta is recognized for his achievements as an Australian waterski champion and was awarded the title of 2019 Father of the Year.
