Andrew Shaw, born on 2 February 1989, is an Australian actor and a former professional rugby union player. He is the son of Tony Shaw, a former Wallabies captain. During his rugby career, Shaw played as a flanker for the Brisbane club Brothers and competed in the Super 14 with the Queensland Reds for two seasons. He made his debut against the Crusaders in Christchurch, facing Richie McCaw at openside flanker. After retiring from professional rugby, Shaw pursued a career in acting. He played a leading role in the 2022 Liam Neeson film Blacklight. In addition to his acting career, Shaw is also recognized as a master jade carver. His diverse pursuits demonstrate a versatile career spanning sports, arts, and entertainment.
