UCHealth is a nonprofit health care system based in Aurora, Colorado. It operates an integrated network of hospitals, clinics, and medical providers across Colorado, southern Wyoming, and western Nebraska. Founded in 2012 through the merger of the University of Colorado Hospital and Poudre Valley Health System, UCHealth is the largest Medicaid provider in Colorado and the region's only adult academic medical center, closely affiliated with the University of Colorado School of Medicine. The organization employs approximately 30,000 to 37,000 people, including thousands of physicians and over 4,000 practitioners. UCHealth invests significantly in community benefits, contributing $1.3 billion annually, which includes $570 million in uncompensated care.
