What does Instruo do?

Instruo, IIEST Shibpur is a nonprofit techno-management festival organized by students at the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST) Shibpur. Established in 2009, it has become Kolkata's largest technical fest and the second-largest in Eastern India. The festival aims to drive innovation among youth by providing a platform for showcasing skills and expertise. Held annually, Instruo features a variety of tech-driven events that engage students, entrepreneurs, and tech enthusiasts. Activities include competitions like Rise Above, an aeromodelling challenge; Founder’s Goal, a startup pitch event; and Ode to Code, a fast-paced coding contest. The festival fosters collaboration between academia and industry, creating an environment for creativity and intellectual engagement. The upcoming edition, Instruo 14, is scheduled for October 31 to November 2, 2025, with a focus on themes such as Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse.
