What does Farmer Network do?

Global Farmer Network (GFN) is a non-profit, farmer-led advocacy organization founded in 2000 in Des Moines, Iowa. Inspired by agricultural scientist Dr. Norman Borlaug, GFN aims to amplify the voices of farmers in global discussions about food security, agriculture, trade, and technological innovation. The organization connects approximately 269 to 300 farmers from around 67 countries, fostering a community dedicated to sustainable agriculture. GFN provides various services to empower its members and influence global policy. These include global advocacy and policy engagement, communication platforms for farmer-authored content, educational webinars, and strategic partnerships with organizations like the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture.
