The Business Council of Westchester (BCW) is the largest business membership organization in Westchester County, representing over 1,000 members. Founded 75 years ago, it serves as a key entity for economic development and advocacy in the region. Dr. Marsha Gordon has been leading the organization as President/CEO since 2001. BCW's mission is to help businesses market, learn, advocate, and grow, fostering a strong business community. Its diverse membership includes multinational corporations, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, not-for-profits, entrepreneurs, and government entities, collectively representing over 200,000 employees. The organization hosts more than 80 events and programs each year, offering networking opportunities, access to industry experts, and resources for business development. Key initiatives include the Westchester Innovation Network and the Westchester Data Initiative, focusing on innovation and data-driven strategies in various sectors. The BCW also plays a significant role in advocacy, educating the business community on policy issues and influencing public policy outcomes.
